Whoever put the goldfish in all the school toilets, I'll have you know you murdered quite a bit of fish.

Whoever painted "Slytherin SUCS" on the wall leading to the dungeons, you have horrible spelling. Though I admire the alliteration. Somewhat.

Whoever gave one of the Gryffindor chasers a bunny tail yesterday, do you know how awkward those are to remove?

Whoever decided that it was the epitome of wit to hex a certain Slytherin player's robes see through, you are responsible for all the people who hexed themselves blind briefly.

And you ALL have detention when it is found out who you are!

I would hope security has been increased even more given the recent attacks. However it is some what hampering to the natural flow of castle order. Though I suppose we can blame those who have disturbed it for the inconvenience.

Yet I am happy that the Herbology project is mostly completed. All that is left really is keeping it stabilized till out presentation.

For those whose prefects and heads of house have not already made aware of, Slytherin students are being alloted the Great Hall to sleep in. Text books will be provided by the school until further notice to replace those damaged, destroyed homework will be allowed an extension. House elves will be sent down to repair damage to the common room and dorms. All that can be restored will be.

Disputes shall be settled and any action of ill related to this event will be handled the same with or without cause. Kindly do not start any acts of revenge, prefects and I'm sure the head boy and girl as well as the professors have enough on their plates cleaning up after this mess already.

For those who it is important to, it was nice to see that the performance of the game was not hampered by the harming of the Ravenclaw captain. The substitute seemed adequate and the teams did well enough. Though I'm not sure how to feel on the game continuing after such a attack.

For those who wish to send well wishes, kindly contact your head of house first before rushing to see her. Or at the very least the Head Boy or Girl, or the highest standing prefect of your house.

They've tightened security around the greenhouses. I'm disappointed in the restriction.

A Dark Mark within the lands of campus. My father does not seem happy. He plans on making a greater push for school security at the ministry. Unfortunately those plans might include moving my establishment of education... Responce to this is not going to be favorable especially with recent deaths.

And increased security means that it'll be harder to sneak around campus, in theory. I'm hoping it does not interfere with my project in the greenhouse, nor with a fondness towards stargazing.

Would there be a reason for Dumbledore to be taking interest in the greenhouses recently? He's already been by when I was the only one here. He did not mention that there was anything wrong with the Greenhouses, so I can only wonder.

I've managed to find some new books that will give valuable information for my currant project. They've been rather useful, I will have to share the information.

A shock to the wizarding world, especially in these dire times. The death of a leader is always a hit to any group of people, be the leader good or bad. I will not pass judgment on the dead.

As it seems, his death can bring about two things, collapse or a, for lack of better words, fanatic witch hunt that unites the country.

I received an owl from my father this morning. It would seem that his time at home is at an end. Such a dark month February is.

I believe certain professors are enjoying the words end of term project. Projects are fine enough, especially concerning certain classes, and the ones where they are extra credit certainly are appealing. But I would like it if none of them to be partners or group. I'm sure certain people enjoy that but I personally am not one of those.

Though I've several ideas for a project in Herbology. I want to try to hybridize muggle spieces with their magical relatives and see what the resulting offspring would result with. Perhaps combining traits that could be useful. I will have to consult on it, not to mention obtaining the plants I'd need...

The pick up of class work that is begining is very welcome. I shall be spending much time at my library table.

I dislike politics. I have no real taste for family honor, nor faith to a bloodline where I am simply a branch that perhaps may prove useful. My parents where matched by those, and they were a good match, but they were matched to stay out of trouble. To give allies for the family.

However while I have no taste for honor, nor loyalty to a main family, my father does. I've seen the plans, the possible matches, the meetings that are begining to start. It's all politics. My father wishes to create allies for a war that is going to tear the world apart. For one who has spent his adult life regulating peaceful interactions, I can only imagine how much this hurts him. So he is doing the only thing he can think of to try and arrange peace for me, finding a family that isn't shoved into one side. Because sides lose and that is not logically safe. Perhaps he will consult me on names, most of them will be people who I barely know or not at all.

I've also seen the letters to the main house. He is trying to become more useful to the house of Vance. He doesn't have a purpose anymore, without her. He is not sure what to do and has gone back, as so many before, to the institution that he did strive to leave. I would almost say it breaks my heart, yet I don't know how to stop him. The ministry isn't a strong ally. The family is, I understand this. But I don't trust either option.

I have no honor nor loyalty, yet I still will go along. What do you say about a person who cannot go against the wishes of her father, even if she could betray the family?

I was picked up by no one this Christmas. It was rather odd and I could only assume that my father was forced to stay at the ministry. But with all the risk and with certain... family interests in them, I was surprised in a mild fashion. I was able to get home easily enough though, so that was not a worry.

He did not get back until a few moments ago. I've never seen him so old looking. Mind you, my father aged young. He seems to have always been an older gentleman even though he is not yet fifty years of age. But age that he shouldn't have seems to be catching up with him since my mother's passing.

I can't find a single picture of her in the flat. They've all disappeared. Her desk is gone as well. There is... well, there is a small little garden for me where it used to be. I find this very disturbing.

The garden, however, is a beautiful early Christmas gift.

Muta is in pleasent condition. He has settled right down.
